I'm a big fan of Airbnb. Last year we used it to find a place to stay for two short vacations we went to, and both times we found a really cool, hip places, where we felt like locals. And I think this would really be the best way to explore Tel Aviv: live in an apartment like a local, go to the corner cafe in the morning, take a stroll on the nearby boulevard, rent a bike and ride on the promenade, and watch the sunset on one of the beaches...
